How it started . . .
In early 2022, two moms (and sisters) Andrea Renkas and Britney Suttner, were in their 8th season of owning their small Northeast Wisconsin business: Fit Moms on the Move. Their niche as pregnancy and postpartum personal trainers was in supporting moms as they embraced their bodies through pregnancy and beyond with online group fitness, education programs and community connection.
They loved what they were doing, but they felt like something was missing. The moms who came to them needed holistic care; care that addressed not just their bodies, but also their minds and hearts. This was care that required expertise beyond what Andrea or Britney could provide.

Over several years of business, they had forged deep connections with trusted fellow entrepreneurs in the perinatal health and wellness niche, bonding over shared struggles and aspirations. Through all the challenges, they found strength in community. They didn’t need to be the expert at everything for their clients. They realized that by banding together, they could achieve more than any of could ever could alone.
And so, Motherhood Alliance was born.

Starting in 2022, a simple online directory quickly blossomed into a network of over 80 like-minded small business owners and local professionals. In 2024, the official Motherhood Alliance website was launched, making it a breeze for moms to find the care they deserve, and for businesses, the connections they need.
“We found out quickly how much of a difference we could make in our local area if we had a more accessible directory list,” Andrea said. “We started putting a lot more time into reaching out to new businesses.”

“We help expose small businesses to more clients through local advertising, social media, blogs and podcasts. We provide opportunities for them to network and connect, and learn business building skills from each other and local marketing experts,” Brittney added.

How it’s going . . .
They say this is the start of a movement where small businesses can thrive, support each other, and make a real difference in their business and in the lives of their clients and patients.
Motherhood Alliance isn’t just about connecting moms and families to services; it’s about connecting professionals to each other. Because let’s face it – motherhood and entrepreneurship aren’t easy. But through the Motherhood Alliance, we’re rewriting the script. Together, we can create a healthier, more connected community for all.
