You may feel like printed photographs are a thing of the past because we’re so used to images being online. But y’all couldn’t be more wrong…

1. Nostalgia
Having a physical print or album to touch is a heartwarming way to relive those precious moments from the past. Your baby being tiny and fresh, your kids’ smiles or your teen graduating high school all will be a thing of the past before you know it!
Unlike some things in our lives (like that expensive phone or new car), photos become MORE valuable with time, and are worth investing in. 🙂

2. Your Children Will Appreciate it
When your little ones grow up and become parents, even grandparents, and you have moved on to a different world, they will CHERISH these childhood photos! They want to see those images of mom holding them, dad tickling them, etc. They will want photos of you to show their kids and to remember you by.

3. Photos Make a House a Home
I have canvases of our wedding day in the hallway, a huge acrylic (I’m talking 30×45″) of our honeymoon in Thailand in the living room and a thick, suede album of our wedding photos on the coffee table, and I love seeing these every day! Plus, when the fam comes over and sees their images in our home, I know it makes them feel happy and welcomed. What rooms in your house do you and your children see everyday? Let’s get rid of the cheap Hobby Lobby stuff and decorate your walls with meaningful, timeless images!

4. Technology changes
Photos used to come on a CD, and newer computers don’t even have a drive for that anymore. They also can come on a USB, but how long until that’s obsolete too?! You may lose your digital images or delete them on a device, but a printed image lasts forever. It’s so much easier to look at a printed image in your home, rather than starting up your computer, finding that USB or online gallery and viewing them that way.
“Did you know there’s actually research out there that proves there’s a higher emotional response to touching a printed photograph as opposed to swiping through a digital device?!”

5. They Make Great Gifts
Mini albums, photo magnets, calendars and acrylic photoblocks are all touching gifts to share with loved ones. Why keep your amazing memories hidden away on your cell phone, when you can gift them to your favorite people?! Anyone can go to Target and buy something to give to someone for their birthday or Christmas, but a photo gift is a unique, custom item that no one else will have!
