We started at a baseball diamond to capture Kole’s love of the sport, then headed to Baird Creek.

As we were approaching the new walking bridge near the waterfall, we saw three huge bucks just hanging out! I really wanted to get them in the background of Kole’s photos, but by the time I got my camera out, they had scampered off into the woods. Darnit!

The highlights of this Preble student’s high school experience have been being involved with intramural basketball, playing disc golf with friends, attending prom and Friday night football games, and being in baseball.

Kole volunteered in the Preble Baseball Youth Clinic in April where the team helped children learn or improve their techniques.
“The older kids are cool because they kind of know what they’re doing,” he said. “But it’s fun to work with the little kids because they look up to you.”

Who does Kole look up to?

“My grandpa. He helped me become the person I am.”
He plans on attending a four-year college for a career in education, teaching history at the high school level.
Any friend of Kole’s is a friend of mine!
